Gutenberg Library

In 1440, German inventor Johannes Gutenberg invented a printing press process that, with refinements and increased mechanization, remained the principal means of printing until the late 20th century. The inventor’s method of printing from movable type, including the use of metal molds and alloys, a special press, and oil-based inks, allowed for the first time the mass production of printed books. This method of printing can be credited not only for a revolution in the production of books, but also for fostering a rapid development in the sciences, arts and religion through the printed word.

Library Hours

The Renaissance Academy Gutenberg Library will be open all school days: Mondays – Thursdays  from 7:45am to 3:30pm. Fridays from 7:45am to 12:30pm. The library will be closed during Dibels testing and Book Fairs.
