Renaissance Jr. Academy

Renaissance Junior Academy is an optional extended day Kindergarten program housed at Renaissance Academy. It continually strives to meet and exceed the ideals set forth in our mission and vision to educate the whole child and to encourage our young scholars to venture beyond their personal expectations of themselves. We believe that by providing an optional extended day Kindergarten program, students will:

  • Improve literacy and language development
  • Help develop skills for higher academic achievement
  • Provide extra time to play, wonder, explore, and serve in their core academic subjects, physical education, art, music, and world language
  • Contribute to increased school readiness
  • Foster positive social and active engagement skills
  • Decrease costs by reducing retention and remediation rates

Program Schedule

Monday - Thursday

  8:00 - 11:00 AM AM Kindergarten
  12:00 - 3:00 PM Includes supervised lunch & recess. Students may bring lunch from home or purchase a school lunch for $2.50, unless they are eligible for free or reduced lunch. 

Friday

   8:00 - 9:55 AM    AM Kindergarten
  10:20 AM - 12:15 PM    Due to shortened schedule, lunch is not provided.

Important Note

At this time, our Extended Kindergarten program is only available in the afternoons following our AM Kindergarten class. If you requested PM Kindergarten in your enrollment and you are interested in our extended day program, please contact our front office to check the possibility of switching to an AM Kindergarten class.

Availability

There are a limited number of spaces available in RA Junior Academy. To be officially enrolled, families must fill out the admissions paperwork and pay their first month’s tuition. Students will be enrolled on RA Junior Academy on a first come first served basis, regardless of having older siblings at RA.

Cost/Fees

$2,750 per year (plus a $35 registration fee). This fee can be paid up front in full or in 10 installments of $275 per month. If choosing the "10 installments" plan, the first installment of $275, plus a registration fee (total initial enrollment cost of $300), will be due one week before school begins in the Fall. The remaining nine installments must be paid consecutively on or before the first of each month, September through May.

Applications for RA Junior Academy will be accepted after the lottery for the coming school year has been completed, usually beginning April.
