Anela Noriega

5th Grade Chinese Immersion Partner

Hi! My name is Anela Noriega. I grew up in Sugarhouse in Salt Lake City. I went to BYU and majored in broadcast journalism. I did some television news reporting, mostly entertainment reporting first. Then, I got my Master’s Degree from Westminster College in teaching in Dec. 2010. I am in my 10th year of teaching. I have mostly done 6th grade. This is my first year teaching 5th grade, and I love it! I have the best students ever! I have an ESL Endorsement. I also have a Gifted and Talented Endorsement. I have a level 2 teaching license.I started out teaching math and science, and then began teaching all subjects. This year, I teach mostly math and language arts, some Social Studies, along with Science reinforcement.

I love seeing the difference I can make in students’ lives and help them gain a love for learning! I believe in having a happy classroom environment where students feel welcomed and appreciated. I’m a firm believer in making sure students become good citizens, along with gaining knowledge at school.

I love traveling and have been to about 50 countries! I love taking pictures, learning about new cultures, and knowing everything! I love feeding ducks, (bird seeds, not bread)! I love singing, dancing, and going to concerts. I like to make sure all around me feel special, and that nobody ever feels left out.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach the best 5th graders around! I love this school and the students, families, and faculty I have gotten to know thus far! Go Renaissance!
