Miss Kinder has been the music specialist at Renaissance Academy from the time the school first opened in 2006. She has a dual bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Music Education from BYU, as well as a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UVU. She obtained her Kodaly Certification training at BYU's Intermuse Academy, and now teaches at Intermuse each summer.

Miss Kinder appreciates the unique opportunity to teach in a place where the school culture promotes singing and performance. She also loves theater and has enjoyed helping to grow Renaissance's drama program.

In her spare time, Miss Kinder likes to read, walk, do puzzles, attend plays, and travel. Before coming to Renaissance, she taught English in Taiwan, where she fell in love with Chinese culture. She grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and has five brothers and a sister.
