Tell us about yourself!

I went to the U.S. from China for college. I graduated from Utah State University with a BS in Economics, then I got a MA in teaching at Seattle University. I like to learn new culture and meet people. In my free time, I like to spend my time hiking, paddle boarding, and exploring new places. I also enjoy cooking and staying at home.

What is your favorite subject to teach? 

Math and social studies

What do you love most about education?

I think education is crucially important to a person's life. As an elementary teacher and grew up in Chinese education, I like to push students succeed and beyond. However, I'm a really fun teacher and I want the children like to see me and learn from me. I believe having a good childhood learning experience will give them strength to keep learning and have more resilience in their future life, and I'm all about it. I also valued student's personal interest and talent so they don't have to get all A to be consider as good and successful. Having the enthusiasm to learn, and the skill to learn are the most important part of education!
