I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. I've lived in Texas, Hawaii, Maryland, and France (only for a few months in my life but I still like to count it). I've been living in Utah since 2017. I love my family! My husband and I got married in 2019 and we welcomed our first baby, Eli, to the family in December 2022. I love anything and everything with water fun (swimming, boating, beach time, etc.), going on walks with my family, amusement parks (especially Disney), and snuggling up to a good TV show.
What is your favorite subject to teach?
Math is my favorite subject to teach.
What do you love most about education?
I have always loved helping people learn and grow. Since graduating high school, I have always had a teaching or tutoring job. There is nothing better than seeing a student work hard at a difficult skill, hand them a few tools to succeed and watch as the gears turn. Then gradually (or suddenly), seeing the light of understanding brighten their face
Is there anything else you'd like Renaissance families to know?
I will work hard to help students succeed. I am not afraid to take different approaches to improve a student's understanding. There are so many different ways to comprehend mathematic concepts and I try to encourage students to find and use the way they understand best. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me, I am always willing to work with you and your student to bring about success.
