Rina Hanna

Arabic

Rina Hanna Elk was born in Egypt. She moved to Utah 7 years ago with her husband and kids who are now 8 and 3. She has a BA degree in computer science and a MA degree in organization leadership from Egypt. Prior moving to the United States, Rina worked as an instructor; teaching foreign students (who lived in Egypt) Arabic language. When she moved to Utah, she continued doing what she enjoys doing the most which is educating students about the middle eastern culture and language. In 2016, she founded an educational center in Utah to teach Arabic language and the Middle Eastern culture to students of all ages. In 2019, she became a part of the Renaissance Academy family to spread her passion for Arabic Language at our school. Rina married into the Lebanese culture and she had also lived 9 years of her early childhood in Iraq which enriches her knowledge of the Middle Eastern culture. She loves to dance, cook, play the piano, go on hikes and most of all, she loves to spread knowledge about the Middle Eastern language, culture and habits with students as they become global citizens.
