Hi! I grew up in Utah and I have been teaching for 11 years, with most of my experience gained while living and teaching in Australia for the past eight years. Before moving abroad, I taught 1st Grade Dual Language Immersion at Renaissance, and I am so excited to be back at this wonderful school!

Outside of the classroom, I love sports, especially soccer, and enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, boating, and exploring nature. I also love to travel and am always looking forward to my next adventure. I can't wait to get to know my students and families and make this a fantastic school year!

What is your favorite subject to teach? 

My favorite subject to teach is Literacy! I love helping students discover the joy of reading and grow as writers. 

What do you love most about education?

I love seeing students become excited about learning and discover what they're capable of. Watching their confidence grow as they learn new skills, overcome challenges, and celebrate their successes is one of the most rewarding parts of being a teacher. There is nothing better than seeing that moment when learning clicks and students are proud of what they accomplish.
